The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 13.07.2018, whereby the petitioner's registration as a medical doctor has been suspended in terms of Section 23 (2) of the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994.

The learned counsel appearing for the Delhi Medical Council (DMC) states that the petitioner has already filed an appeal against the said order before the Medical Council of India (MCI). He also drew the attention of this Court to an order dated 05.12.2017 passed in W.P. (C) 10779/2017

captioned Dr Anil Grover v. Delhi Medical Council and Ors. whereby, the petition was disposed of by directing the MCI to examine all contentions and pass an appropriate order.

Mr Singhdev, learned counsel appearing for the MCI states that the matter would be examined and appropriate orders disposing of the petitioner's would be passed as expeditiously as possible. 6.

Since, the matter is under consideration of the MCI, this Court considers it apposite to stay the impugned order till the disposal of the said appeal.

It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. All contentions of the parties are reserved. 6.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 7.
