O R D E R

% 01.08.2018 The petitioner seeks parole for two months. He is 70 years old. He has been incarcerated for 14 years 9 months and 13 days and has earned remission of 2 years 7 months and 29 days as of 16.07.2018. He has availed 4 paroles, 6 furloughs and bail once in the past 8 years and has never misused the liberty granted. The order rejecting the relief for establishing social ties was because the last furlough granted to him was on 11.05.2018. However, this Court does not consider that, that by itself a reason for denying him parole in the petitioner's peculiar circumstances. In view of the above, the Court finds no impediment in allowing the present petition. Consequently, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of two months from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned subject to the following

conditions:-

(1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, concerned Police Station Tilak Marg, once a week on every Tuesday during the period of parole.

(2) He shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO concerned, which the petitioner shall keep operational at all times

(3) He shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi.

(4) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.
