% 01.02.2016 The matter was passed over to enable the parties to examine whether the matter could be settled. We are happy to record that Dr. Karoon Agrawal and Dr. R.P. Narayan have mutually agreed to resolve the controversy. They state that Dr. Karoon Agrawal can continue as the Head of the Department till 31st March, 2016 and Dr. R.P. Narayan will be the Head of the Department with effect from 1st April, 2016. We appreciate the immense professional respect towards each other, grace and understanding which the Dr. Karoon Agrawal and Dr. R.P. Narayan have shown in

arriving at this mutual settlement in the larger interest of the institution they both serve. We are confident that with this degree of respect for each other they will strive to take the institution to commendable levels of medical care. Their gesture is not a reflection on the merits or demerits of the litigation. We dispose of the present writ petition taking the statements on record. The parties will be bound by the statements. The authorities will issue relevant notifications.
