This petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, concerns recruitment to the post of Junior Assistant, Fire Services, Airports Authority of India.

Pursuant to the order dated 06.05.2025, Mr. Anand Kumar Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner, has entered appearance. The subject matter in the writ petition pertains to a recruitment which took place in August 2016. Mr. Pandey submits that the only grievance, which he has been instructed to press, is a request for concession in any future recruitment process, to the extent that he may be permitted to directly appear in the Certificate verification, Physical measurement, Driving test, and physical endurance test.

44397/2017], and was declined by an order dated 08.12.2017 with the following observations:

"By way of this application, petitioner seeks addition of an alternate prayer to direct the respondent to permit petitioner to directly appear for physical test without undergoing written examination, which is to convene from 10th December, 2017. It is pertinent to note that in this petition, the challenge is to the examination held in the year 2016 and thereafter, another advertisement for recruitment has been issued and in pursuance thereto, examination is to be held in December, 2017. Petitioner may have qualified the written examination in 2016 but on that basis, he cannot be exempted to appear in the written examination to be held in the year 2017.

In view of aforesaid, the additional prayer made in this application cannot be acceded to. Hence, the application is dismissed." 4.

The relief cannot be granted at this stage.

As no other relief is pressed, the writ petition, alongwith the pending application, is disposed of.
