W.P.(CRL) 2318/2016 Issue notice. Mr. Mehra accepts notice. This petition has been preferred by the petitioners to seek a direction to respondent nos.1 to 5 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners. Petitioner nos.1 and 2 are the parents-in-law of respondent no.6, and petitioner no.3 is the unmarried daughter of petitioner nos.1 and 2. Petitioner nos.1 to 3 are apprehending harm from respondent no.6.
Obviously, there is a marital discord between the husband (i.e. son of petitioner nos.1 and 2) and respondent no.6. The petitioners claim that respondent no.6 have threatened them. It is claimed that on 01.08.2016, there was an in incident when two boys came on a motorcycle and threatened the petitioners to transfer their properties in the name of respondent no.6, or get ready to face dire consequences. It is claimed that the petitioners raised hue and cry and thereafter the two boys left. Mr. Mehra submits that the complaint as preferred appears to be deficient. However, he stated that, in any event, the respondents shall examine the same and take appropriate steps according to the assessment of threat perception, if any, to the petitioners. The mobile number of the beat constable be provided to the petitioners.
The petition stands disposed of.
