% 03.08.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and accepts notice. She has been identified by ASI Devender Kumar of police station Uttam Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled all her disputes with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, before the Mediation Centre, Tiz Hazari Courts, Delhi on 03.11.2017. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has been dissolved by a Decree of Divorce dated 06.06.2018 by Family Court Dwarka Courts, New Delhi. The petitioner no.1 has paid `1,50,000/- vide a

demand draft, copy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent No.2 further submits that she has already received entire settled amount from the petitioners, therefore, she has no objection in case FIR No. 743/2007 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Uttam Nagar and the consequent proceedings are quashed against the petitioner and his relative i.e. petitioner no.2. Affidavit of respondent No.2 is on record. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
