O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 176/2018 This petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Arbitral Tribunal adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the Four Laning of NH-9 Pune-Hyderabad section from km 493.00 to km 524.00 in the State of Andhra Pradesh on BOT basis. Counsel for the respondent, who appears on an advance notice, submits that the respondent has no objection if the time for making of the Award is extended.
Having perused the contents of the petition and no objection
expressed by the respondent, the time for making of the Award is extended by a further period of six months with effect from 27th August, 2018. The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to cost. Dasti.
