Application is disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 2317/2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 13th September, 2013.

Petitioner nos.2 to 6 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. With the passage of time, relations between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 got strained.

The present FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent no.2, Ms. Neha under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at police station Hari Nagar.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, Ms. Neha have settled their

disputes before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 10th September, 2015.

Marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce dated 6th June, 2016.

Respondent no.2, Ms. Neha is present in Court and admits having received `3,50,000/- earlier.

Balance amount of `1,50,000/- has been paid today by petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2, Ms. Neha in Court by way of a Demand Draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2, Ms. Neha has no objection in case the present FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and also the fact that the marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served by entangling them in criminal proceedings. Accordingly, the present FIR under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Hari Nagar is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
