% 11.08.2016 Crl. M.A. nos. 12459-60/2016 (exemption) Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Applications are disposed of. W.P.(CRL) 2368/2016 Disputes between the petitioner no. 1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) has led to registration of present FIR No. 272/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Gokal Puri. Petitioner nos. 2 to 7 are relatives of petitioner no. 1.

Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes before the Principal Judge, Family Court, North East

District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi in M.T. No. 305/15. Terms of settlement have been recorded in the report dated 29th February, 2016. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 submit that petitioner no. 1 has already pronounced talaq and their marriage stands dissolved. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel admits having received Rs.2,00,000/- till date. Remaining settled amount of Rs.1,00,000/- has been paid by the petitioner no. 1 to respondent no. 2 today in Court. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that parties have settled their disputes and their marriage stands dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. In the interest of justice, FIR No. 272/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Gokal Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
