CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 18.09.2018 Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Sonal Raj of Police Station Nand Nagri. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner No. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 31st July, 2014. Petitioner No. 1 has paid Rs. 75,000/- to respondent No. 2 by way of a Demand Draft, copy whereof has been placed on record. She states that the entire settled amount of Rs. 7 Lacs stands paid with this payment and that she has no objection in case the FIR No. 492/2013 registered at Police Station Nand Nagri under Sections 498A/406/494/506/34 IPC is quashed.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.492/2013 registered at Police Station Nand Nagri under Sections 498A/406/494/506/34 IPC and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
