O R D E R

% 01.08.2018 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 are cousin. quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue which led to registration of FIR No. 249/2018 under Sections 354(D)/509/506/341 IPC at police station K.N. Katju Marg.

With the intervention of elders in the family, petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Agreement dated 28th July, 2018, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Virender Kumar of police station K.N. Katju Marg. She submits that she has settled her disputes with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she is

not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Affidavit of respondent no.2 is also on record to this effect. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
