% 12.08.2016 The petitioner before this Court is the daughter of deceased Shobha. Shobha was stated to be a squatter near gate No. 4, Palika Bazar, Connaught Place, New Delhi. By way of this petition, the petitioner who is the daughter of deceased seeks substitution qua her deceased mother.
On advance notice, learned counsel for respondent No. 1 has put an appearance. His submission is that after the promulgation of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, the case of the petitioner can only be considered by the Town Vending Committee (TVC). It is not in dispute that the TVC qua respondent No. 1/New Delhi Municipal Council has since been constituted.
This petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the TVC.
