% 22.03.2017 This petition pertains to the unauthorized construction which was going on in the Aaya Nagar area. We had directed the agencies to carry out joint action to ensure that no further unauthorized construction takes place. The South Delhi Municipal Corporation as also the Delhi Police as well as the SDM, Mehrauli have been working together in an attempt to ensure that no unauthorized construction takes place in the Aaya Nagar area.

Mr Satyakam, the learned counsel appearing for the SDM, Mehrauli as well as the Delhi Police states that the reports, vis-a-vis, unauthorized construction have

seen a sharp decline in view of the repeated actions taken by the agencies. Both, Mr Satyakam and Mr Aroraa, the learned counsel appearing for the South Delhi Municipal Corporation assure this Court that the action taken by them till date shall continue and they shall fully cooperate with each other to ensure that unauthorized construction in the Aaya Nagar area is brought to a stop. In view of these assurances, we dispose of this writ petition. Liberty is, however, given to the petitioner to move an appropriate application in case there is a further increase in unauthorized construction in the Aaya Nagar area. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
