O R D E R

% 16.08.2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 15th February, 2014.

They lived together hardly for five months.

On the complaint of respondent no.2, the present FIR No.104/2015 was registered at PS CWC, Nanank Pura against petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos.2 to 7 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have now settled their disputes amicably. They have decided to part their ways and in fact their marriage has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 7th May, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by W/SI Narinder Kaur PS

CWC/Nanak Pura. Respondent no.2 admits having received the entire settled amount from petitioner no.1 and submits that she has no objection in case the present FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and their marriage has already been dissolved by way of a decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the parties entangled in criminal proceedings. Accordingly, the present FIR No.104/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station CWC, Nanak Pura and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
