% 15.10.2018 A further status report has been tendered in Court by Mr. Mehra and taken on record. The CDRs of the parents of Deepankar - the suspect have been obtained and analysed. The same has not yielded any result. A picket has already been installed near Gali No.1, Mother dairy, Wazirabad for safety and security of the residents.
The present appears to be a case of voluntary elopement of the petitioner's 20 year old sister with the suspect - Deepankar on 09.01.2018. The petitioner and the suspect belong to different religion and that possibly is the reason for the couple not surfacing till date. The State has conducted
investigation on the basis of the available information but the petitioner's sister and Deepankar have not been located.
In these circumstances, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any further.
The same is accordingly disposed of.
The interim protection granted to respondent Nos.4, 5 and 6 shall continue. If any information is provided by the petitioner or by the parents of Deepankar with regard to the whereabouts of the petitioner's sister and Deepankar, the same shall be actioned by the police without any slackness. In case the petitioner's sister - Sonam and Deepankar surface, they shall be provided protection by the police so that they do not come to any harm from any quarter. We have already recorded earlier the statement of the petitioner that in case Sonam and Deepankar were to surface, he and his family members will accept their alliance and neither of them shall come to any harm. The said assurance has been reiterated today before us. Accordingly, we dispose of this petition. The SHO concerned shall attend to any distress calls that may be received from respondent Nos.4 to 6 and the same shall be actioned without any delay.
