CRL.M.C. 3013/2016

1. Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner for quashing of the FIR No.688/2014 registered under Sections 354A/354D/506/509 IPC at PS Neb Sarai. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant before mediation centre, Saket Court.

2. Respondent No.2 / complainant with her counsel is present before

the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled by her with the petitioner of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioner has been resolved amicably with her free consent before mediation centre at Saket Court and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.

3. Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Settlement order dated 27.01.2016 before Mediation Centre, Saket Court is on record. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.688/2014 registered under Sections 354A/354D/506/509 IPC at PS Neb Sarai and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

4. The petitioner is directed to deposit ` 15,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.
