The matter is taken up today as 13th September, 2016 was declared holiday on account of 'Id ul-Zuha'.

Case received on transfer.

This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.533/2013 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Narela. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court CRL.M.C. 2945/2016
with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties before Mediation Centre, Rohini vide Settlement Agreement dated 09.01.2014 and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.533/2013 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Narela and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
