CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 10.11.2016 Petitioner is in incarceration for nine years. Petitioner's address of Kolkata has been verified.

Petitioner seeks parole on the ground of maintaining social ties with the family and society. It is trite to say that every convict, in long incarceration, is entitled to be released on parole at least once a year to shed his inner stress and such a release would be otherwise beneficial to the mental and physical health of a convict. Keeping in mind the totality of circumstances, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole for a period of one month from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/-

(Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with one local surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Jail Superintendent. On completion of parole period, petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving it upon the petitioner and for compliance.
