IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ CRL.M.C. 4495/2018 RAJKUMAR ..... Petitioner Through Mr. Davender Kumar, Adv versus THE STATE ( GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI) & ANR ..... Respondents Through Mr. Izhar Ahmad, APP for State ASI Kanwaljit Singh, PS Mangol Puri

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 06.09.2018 Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Kanwaljit Singh of police station Mangol Puri. She says that petitioner is her brother-in-law. With the intervention of elders in the family, she has settled the matter with the petitioner of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion., therefore, FIR 768/2013 under sections 354/451/509 IPC registered at police station Mangol Puri be quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
