CRL.M.C. 1526/2017 This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.741/2014, under Sections 354/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Seelampur, Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner Gulzar Khan and the respondent No.2 Smt. Jyoti happen to be at Seelampur market area where due to misunderstanding, the respondent No.2/complainant got registered the aforesaid FIR against the petitioner at Police Station Seelampur, Delhi. Counsel further submits that after the registration of the FIR, the near relatives and the friends intervened and the matter has been

amicably settled between the parties orally. Counsel further submits that since the matter has been compromised/settled amicably between the parties and nothing remains to be adjudicated upon further, however, the FIR in question is coming as hurdle in the way of the present petitioner and prays that the FIR and all proceedings arising therefrom may be quashed. Respondent No.2 Smt.Jyoti is present in Court today and has been identified by the IO ASI Data Ram, P.S. Seelampur, Delhi. The respondent No.2 present in person admits the factum of oral settlement with the petitioner and further admits that the said settlement reached with the petitioner is voluntary, without any force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that nothing remains to be adjudicated further between them and she has no objection if the FIR in question is quashed.

Keeping in view the above facts and circumstances, since the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and the respondent No.2/complainant Jyoti has also filed an affidavit dated 12th April, 2017 to this effect and nothing remains to be adjudicated further between them, I deem it appropriate to quash the FIR and all its subsequent proceedings. Consequently, FIR No.741/2014, under Sections 354/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Seelampur, Delhi and all proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed. Parties shall remain bound by the oral settlement. The present petition is allowed and disposed of accordingly. Copy of this order be given dasti to the parties, as prayed. I.S.
