% 22.08.2016 Crl.M.A. No.12928/2016 Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 2450/2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.554/2015 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 of the IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 against the petitioners.

The complainant is present in Court. She has produced her Aadhaar Card, which has been shown to the Court and returned. Copy of the same

has already been placed on record.

The petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 are married according to Hindu rites on 03.11.2014. Since disputes arose between the parties, they started living separately and respondent No.2 filed her complaint leading to registration of the aforesaid FIR at Police Station Kanjhawala. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 08.09.2015 in Delhi Mediation Centre at Rohini District Courts, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, the complainant has already received an amount of Rs.2 Lakhs out of the settlement amount of Rs.3 Lakhs. An amount of Rs.1 Lakh has been tendered to her in Court today. The complainant states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
