This petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award by the Sole Arbitrator adjudicating the disputes that have arisen between the parties in relation to the Agreement dated 24.12.2014 executed between the parties. The respondent has been proceeded ex parte in such arbitration proceedings. 2.

Notice of the present petition has been served on the respondent through e-mail and an affidavit of service has been filed by the petitioner in this regard. None appears for the respondent in spite of such service.

Having perused the contents of the petition, the time for making of the Award by the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period of six months with effect from 02.06.2018.

The petition is allowed in the above terms with no order as to

costs.
