O R D E R
% 19.08.2016 Marital discord between the husband (petitioner no.1) and wife (respondent no.2) had led to registration of present FIR No. 2356/2014 under Sections 498A-406/34 IPC against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5, on the complaint of respondent no.2. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have now settled their disputes amicably. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Shri Gopal of police station Shakarpur. She submits that FIR may be quashed since the matter has been settled and entire settled amount has been received by her.
Keeping in mind that both the husband and wife have settled their disputes, inasmuch as, have obtained a decree of divorce, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 2356/2014 under Sections 498A-406/34 IPC registered at police station Shakarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
