W.P.(CRL) 2447/2016 The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.297/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Section

3.1(x) SC/ST Act, 1989 of 3(1) R.S.U. of SC & ST Amendment Act, 2015 against the petitioners.

The complainant is present in Court. He is identified by the Investigating Officer. The parties have arrived at settlement with the intervention of respectable persons of the area. The affidavit of respondent No.2 is placed on record. The complainant states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
