% 07.09.2016 Marital discord between the petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 had led to registration of the present FIR No.39/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Jaitpur, Delhi. Petitioner Nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner No.1. Petitioner No.1 and respondent No.2 have settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts on 9th July 2015. Respondent No.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Rajiv Kumar of Police Station Jaitpur. Respondent No.2 has admitted that she has settled the matter with the petitioner No.1. She further submits that their marriage has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce dated 2nd

June 2016 passed by the Family Court, Saket. She further submits that she has received the entire settled amount.

She submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2 have decided to part their ways and have, in fact, their marriage has been dissolved by a decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.39/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Jaitpur, Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
