O R D E R

% 23.08.2016 Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 were married on 30th November, 2012 according to the Hindu rites and ceremonies. They could hardly live together for about four months.

On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 25/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Aman Vihar against the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 7.

On 28th September, 2015 petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Rohini. Their marriage has been dissolved by a decree of divorce by

mutual consent on 4th June, 2016 passed by the Family Court, Rohini. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Manisha Sharma, P.S. Aman Vihar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has received the entire settled amount from the petitioner no. 1 and she has no objection in case FIR in question is quashed.

Keeping in mind the fact that parties have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have parted ways, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

In the interest of justice, FIR No. 25/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Aman Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
