% 07.05.2015 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 6th May, 2011 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. However, they could not live together since September, 2011 on account of temperamental differences. On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR was registered against petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3. After registration of FIR petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably. They have decided to part ways and have, in fact, obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent from the Family Court, Rohini on 27th November, 2014.

Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no.2 have decided to part ways and have obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in present criminal proceedings. Accordingly, FIR 41/13 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Alipur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
