% 04.10.2016 The petitioner claims `16,63,96,851/- as the principal refund amount and interest thereof. Learned counsel for the VAT Department submits, on instructions, that the refund of `10,48,40,000/- has been allowed and that the order along with refund amount will be released to the petitioner shortly. It is also stated that the balance with interest payable for the entire principal amount too would be released by a separate refund order. A direction is issued to release the entire interest on `16,63,96,851/- and further ensure that the said interest and the full principal amount is received by the petitioner not later than 2 weeks from today. The writ petition is allowed in the above terms.
