CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 14.08.2018 Respondent no.2-Mr.
Mukesh Chaudhary is present in Court alongwith his counsel and has been identified by SI Sonu of police station GTB Enclave.
Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide a Settlement/Memorandum of Understanding dated 28th April, 2018 was arrived before Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Petitioner no. 1 has paid `1,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2, vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. He has no
objection in case FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against petitioner nos. 1to 3.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR no. 551/2007 under Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, registered at Police Station Mansarover Park, Delhi and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
