O R D E R

% 09.09.2016 On the complaint of respondent no.2 (wife), present FIR No.84/2014 was registered against the petitioner no.1 (husband) and his relatives, that is, petitioner no.2 to 4 at police station Jaffar Pur Kalan under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes and their marriage has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent on 20th May, 2015.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Sudesh PS Jaffar Pur Kalan. Respondent no.2 admits that matter has been settled, their marriage has been dissolved

and she has received the entire settled amount. She further submits that she has no objection, in case the present is quashed. Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and the entire settled amount has been received, inasmuch as, their marriage has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, the present FIR No.84/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Jaffar Pur Kalan is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
