% 29.08.2016 By the present petition, the Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 672/2015 under Sections 354/354(D)/506 IPC & Section 12 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act registered at PS Sonia Vihar, Delhi on the complaint of Respondent No.2.

Notice. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. Learned Additional Standing Counsel on instructions from Investigating Officer states that in the above-noted FIR besides the respondent No.2 there is no other victim and respondent No.3 is the father and natural guardian and is being impleaded as respondent No.2 is a minor. Respondent No.2 and 3 are present in Court and are identified by the Investigating Officer. Respondent No.3 states that he does not wish to W.P.(CRL) 2516/2016

pursue the above-noted FIR got registered on the complaint of his daughter as the parties have amicably settled the dispute being neighbours. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, volition and without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them, it would be in the interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Consequently, FIR No. 672/2015 under Sections 354/354(D)/506 IPC & Section 12 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act registered at PS Sonia Vihar, Delhi and proceedings pursuant thereto are hereby quashed.

Petitioner and respondent No.3 have signed this order sheet in acknowledgment of their statements made before this Court. The petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
