Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that appeal filed by him against the order passed by the revenue assistant dated 19.03.1999 as also the subsequent order dated 12.07.1999 is pending before the Deputy Commissioner. This appeal is stated to be pending since 16.07.1999. Submission is that inspite of 15 years having been lapsed Deputy Commissioner has not decided the appeal. This Court notes this submission as also the record which substantiates the averments made by the petitioner. Counsel for the respondent also does not dispute this stand.

The Deputy Commissioner will ensure that the afore noted

appeal which is pending before him be decided within an outer limit of four months from the date of receipt of this order. Counsel for the respondent undertakes and assures this Court that this order will be implemented in true letter and spirit.

Petition disposed of.
