O R D E R

% 11.05.2015 By way of present writ petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he intends to file Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court after engaging a private counsel.

As per the Parole/Furlough Guidelines, 2010, a convict is entitled to parole on the ground of filing SLP. In my view, every convict is entitled to avail all the remedies as may be available to him under the law upto the highest forum by engaging a counsel of his choice. Address of the petitioner has been verified. During the pendency of appeal, petitioner was released on interim bail on two occasions which concession he has not misused.

Keeping in mind totality of the circumstances, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole for a period of one month from the date of

his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Jail Superintendent. During the parole period petitioner shall not leave territorial bounds of Delhi and appear before the SHO of police station Mayur Vihar once in a week, that is, on every Monday at 10:00 am. After completion of parole period petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent Jail. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving on the petitioner and also for compliance.
