% 29.09.2016 Respondent no. 3 is father of petitioner no.1 who married petitioner no. 2 of her own free will and against the wishes of her family members including respondent no.3. Apprehending danger to their lives, petitioners have approached this Court by way of present writ petition seeking police protection.

Vide order dated 26th August, 2016, respondent no.2, that is, SHO of police station Anand Vihar was directed to ensure the safety of the petitioners. It was further ordered that mobile numbers of Beat Constable, Division Officer and SHO be provided to the petitioners so that they may contact them in case of any threat is received by them. Respondent no. 3 has been served and is present in Court in person. He submits that he has no

intention to cause any harm to the petitioners. Date of birth of petitioner no.1 is 12th June, 1998 and of petitioner no.2 is 8th January, 1993. Learned ASC for the State submits that statement of petitioner no.1 has also been recorded wherein she has stated that after passing of the order dated 26th August, 2016 no threat has been received by her from the respondent no. 3 or any other family member.

Since no threat exists, learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions of petitioners, seeks leave to withdraw the petition.

Writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn.
