Crl.M.C.3117/2016 The petitioner No.1 is the complainant in FIR No.161/2016 under Sections 354(C)/376/506 IPOC registered at PS:Khyala, Delhi and now seeks quashing along with petitioner No.2, who is the accused on the ground that the parties have settled the matter. The offence alleged is punishable under Section 376 IPC. Being a serious offence, the above-noted FIR cannot be quashed on the basis of the compromise between the parties, in view of the decision of the Supreme Court in Gian Singh v. State of Punjab & Anr., (2012) 10 SCC 303.
The petition is dismissed.
