% 26.08.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.3015/2015 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners. The complainant is present in Court. She is identified by her counsel, who has already filed his Vakalatnama on record. She has placed copy of her Aadhaar Card on record.
The petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 were married according to Hindu rites on 13.04.2011. Since disputes arose between the parties, they
started living separately and respondent No.2 filed her complaint leading to registration of the aforesaid FIR at Police Station Palam Village. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 25.01.2016, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, out of the total amount of Rs.18 Lakhs, the complainant has already received an amount of Rs.10.5 Lakhs. An amount of Rs.7.5 Lakhs tendered in Court today by way of a Demand Draft. Copy of the said DD bearing No.492994 dated 23.08.2016 has been placed on record. The complainant states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.
Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
