O R D E R

% 29.08.2016 Learned counsel for petitioner submits that FIR No.1407/2016 was registered against petitioner in police station Mehrauli on 13th July, 2016 under Sections 135/138/150 of The Electricity Act, 2003. Theft bill was raised by respondent no.2.

Matter has been settled in the National Lok Adalat held on 13th February, 2016. Settlement was arrived at before the registration of FIR and settled amount of `5,83,950/- against the theft bill has already been paid on 16th February, 2016. Learned counsel for respondent no.2 has admitted that matter has been settled between the parties before the National Lok Adalat and settled amount has already been

paid.

He further submits that respondent no.2 has no objection in case the present FIR is quashed.

It may be noted that the investigations are still pending.

Keeping in mind the fact that parties have settled their disputes before the National Lok Adalat, inasmuch as, settled amount has been paid, in the interest of justice, the present FIR No.1407/2016 registered in police station Mehrauli on 13th July, 2016 under Sections 135/138/150 of The Electricity Act, 2003 is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructous.
