% 01.09.2016 In the present petition, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had sought time to obtain instructions qua the appointment of an independent court observer to ensure a fair, impartial and smooth conduct of the impending elections to the Indian Medical Association for the years 2016-17 and 2017-18. Mr. Amit Chadha, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, states that owing to subsequent developments and the purported misconduct of the entire electoral process by the Election Commission of the official respondent, he has instructions to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. Leave and liberty granted.

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn and disposed of accordingly. Pending applications also stand disposed of.
