% 30.08.2016 The status report has been tendered in court and is taken on record. It has been verified that the nephew of the petitioner Narender Kumar, s/o. Dharam Singh has passed away.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the 'tervi' of the said nephew shall take place on 01.09.2016. Though learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he needs to help the family of the deceased nephew, I am not impressed by this argument. The nephew would have his own immediate family members to take care of the situation and the petitioner cannot on that ground seek extension of parole.

Accordingly, the period of parole of the petitioner is extended till 01.09.2016. He shall, accordingly, surrender on 02.09.2016. The extension is granted on the same terms and conditions on which parole was initially granted.

Petition stands disposed of.
