By this petition, petitioner seeks modification of the order dated 15th May, 2018 whereby he was granted his first spell of furlough for a period of three weeks however, subject to the condition that he would furnish two surety bonds in the sum of ₹10,000/- each besides a personal bond to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Central Jail -II, Tihar. 2.

The grievance of the petitioner was that he could not furnish the two surety bonds and was in a position to furnish only one surety bond. 3.

This Court on the last date of hearing directed the State to produce the earlier order granting parole/furlough to the petitioner. 4.

It is revealed that vide order dated 12th April, 2018 the petitioner was granted parole for a period of four weeks on his furnishing a surety bond in the sum of ₹4,000/- with a personal bond in the like amount and the other W.P.(CRL) 2421/2018

conditions remaining the same. There are no allegations that the petitioner misused the said concession.

Consequently, this Court deems it fit to modify the order dated 15th May, 2018. Thus the petitioner is directed to be released on his first spell of furlough for a period of three weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of Superintendent, Central Jail -II, Tihar; the other conditions imposed in the order dated 15th May, 2018 remaining the same. 6.

Petition is disposed of.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
