W.P.(C) 7599/2016 & CM 31276/2016 (stay) Learned senior counsel for the petitioners states that he has taken instructions and would like to withdraw the present writ petition with the liberty to approach the Financial Commissioner by way of an application for appropriate orders on the issue that the Administrator appointed by the Registrar, Cooperative Societies cannot remain in office for a period exceeding 365 days. Counsel for the petitioners also states that he would request for expeditious hearing. In view of the aforesaid statement, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for, without expressing any opinion on merits. Pending CM also stands disposed of.
