% 13.08.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Shri Gopal of police station Shakar Pur.
Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled all her disputes with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and has been living with him. She further submits that she has no objection in case FIR No.865/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Shakar Pur and the consequent proceedings are quashed against the petitioner and his relatives. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1
and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Affidavit of respondent no.2 has also been filed in support of the petition. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of, in the above terms.
