% 29.08.2016 W.P.(C) 7569/2016 & CM No.31220/2016(directions) The petitioner, by the present petition, seeks action to be taken against respondent Nos.3 & 4 by respondent No.1 in terms of Section 17 of the National Council for Teachers Education Act, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act").

It is contended that in terms of Section 17 of the Act, if any person is aggrieved by any recognition granted to any Institute or there is contravention of any condition, subject to which recognition has been granted, such person can make a representation to the Regional Committee for withdrawal of such recognition.

It is contended that several representations have been made to the respondents 1 & 2 for taking action. However, the representations have not yet been disposed of.

Learned counsel for respondent Nos.1 & 2, appearing on advance notice, submits that in case the representations have not already been disposed of, the same shall be disposed of within four weeks. The writ petition is disposed of by directing respondents 1 & 2 to dispose of the representations filed by the petitioner under Section 17 of the said Act within four weeks in accordance with law. The order disposing of the representations shall be communicated to the petitioner. Dasti under signatures of the Court Master.
