O R D E R

% 20.12.2016 FIR No. 1285/2015 under Section 420 IPC was registered at Police Station Saket against the petitioner on the complaint of respondent no. 2. A perusal of FIR shows that disputes arose between the petitioner and respondent nos. 2 and 3 in respect of a sale transaction of an immovable property. Respondent nos. 2 and 3 have now settled the matter with petitioner. Petitioner has paid `40 lacs to the respondent no. 2 and `9.25 lacs to respondent no. 3. Respondent nos. 2 and 3 are present in Court and have been identified by SI Ravi Shankar Tyagi, P.S. Saket. Respondent nos. 2 and 3 admit having settled

the matter with the petitioner of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure and coercion.

They admit having received the entire settled amount and are not willing to pursue the FIR any further. It is submitted that in view of the settlement arrived at by them with the petitioner, FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind the nature of disputes, which have civil flavour and that petitioner and respondent nos.2 and 3 have settled their disputes, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 1285/2015 under Section 420 IPC registered at Police Station Saket, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K.
