O R D E R

% 27.03.2017 The petitioner has challenged the ex parte award dated 19th August, 2015 whereby compensation of Rs.50,000/- has been awarded to the respondent.

Learned counsel for the respondent has no objection to the setting aside of the ex parte award and the petitioner being permitted to contest the claim on merits. Learned counsel for the respondent, however, submits that the Industrial Tribunal should be directed to expedite the hearing of the claim, to which learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection.

The ex parte award dated 19th August, 2015 is set aside and the case is remanded back to the Industrial Tribunal and the petitioner is permitted to contest the claim on merits.

The parties shall appear before the Industrial Tribunal on 3rd May, 2017. The Industrial Tribunal shall ensure that no unnecessary adjournments are granted to the parties in this matter.

The petition as well as the pending application is disposed of.

Copy of this order be given dasti to the counsel for the parties under signature of the Court Master.
