W.P.(C) 3534/2017 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- "(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other order/writ or direction by setting aside the termination order dated 31.12.2016 vide Pro No.173/A1TNH/2015 thereby terminating the services of the petitioner and further the petitioner be reinstated in service immediately with continuity of service and with back wages and with all consequential benefits including monetary benefits; (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other

order/writ or direction to the Competent Authority i.e. the Chief Secretary, Govt. Of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu to decide and dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 30.01.2017; (iii) Pass such other and further orders as this Hon‟ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice." Suffice to state vide order dated 31st December, 2016 the petitioner was dismissed from service pursuant to a charge sheet issued to him for certain misconduct. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has filed an appeal dated 30th January, 2017 against the order dated 31st December, 2016, which has not been disposed of till date. Ms. S. Nithya, Advocate who appears for respondent nos.1 and 2 states that the appeal shall be disposed of if not already done within a period of 12 weeks from today.

Noting the aforesaid statement, the appeal dated 30th January, 2017 filed by the petitioner shall be disposed of within 12 weeks from today. The writ petition is disposed of.
