% 27.04.2017 By way of present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioners have prayed as under :- "a) Issue an appropriate writ(s)/direction(s) or order(s) including the Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents and particularly the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC) of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to process and decide the application of the Petitioners for grant of final recognition of remaining one unit of B.Ed.
course under Regulation 7 (16) of NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2014; and/or b) Issue an appropriate writ(s)/directions(s) or order(s) including the Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents and particularly the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC) of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to follow the procedure as contemplated under section 15(3) (b) of the NCTE Act, 1993 clause 7 (17) of the NCTE Regulations, 2014 and the directions contained in the order dated 18.06.13 passed by Hon'ble Supreme Court in IA No.2 in Civil Appeal No.
for grant of final recognition of remaining one unit of B.Ed. course under Regulation 7 (16) of NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations 2014; and/or"
Issue show cause to the respondents.
Counsel for the respondents accepts notice. She submits that respondent no.1 has already requested the respondent no.2 to consider the case of the petitioners in the meetings to be held by the respondent no.2 from 28th April, 2017 to 2nd May, 2017. She further submits that petitioners' application would be considered by the Regional Committee during that period and petitioners may approach the respondent no.2 in this regard.
Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of with the directions to the respondent no.2 to consider the case of the petitioners, in accordance with law, in the meetings to be held from 28th April, 2017 to 2nd May, 2017 and communicate the decision to the petitioners. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
