Pursuant to a recruitment notice, issued by the respondents inviting applications for the posts of Constables (General Duty) in Central Armed Police Forces and for Rifleman in the Assam Rifles issued in the year 2015, the petitioner applied.

The petitioner who applied for the post of Constable (General Duty) was allotted Registration No. 51119909712 and at the time of registration of the form, he was given Roll No. 12201104270.

According to the petitioner, the petitioner is eligible. After completion of all formalities, another Roll No. 2201104270 was issued to the petitioner for the Physical Efficiency Test and the Physical Standard Test. According to the petitioner, the petitioner duly qualified in the Physical Standard Test W.P.(C) 7930/2016
and Physical Efficiency Test, after which, he was issued another Admit Card for the Written Examination and allotted Roll No. 2201104270. The petitioner claims to have qualified in the written examination as well. According to the petitioner, pursuant to a letter written by the respondent authorities, the petitioner appeared before the Medical Board for medical examination. However, the medical results are yet to be declared. In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought directions on the respondent No. 2 to declare the medical examination results for the post in question and in the event, the petitioner is successful to issue joining letter to the petitioner. 4.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the medical examination of the candidates is still in progress and the results will be declared together. The process would take approximately two months.

After considering the submissions of the respective parties, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to publish the medical examination results for the posts in question as soon as possible but preferably within three months from the date of communication of this order.
