CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

% 17.08.2018 Notice.

Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1.

Respondent no.2-Ms. Rani Tabasum is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by ASI Shyam Nandan of police station Uttam Nagar.

Petitioner (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) state that they have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Government Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 6th April, 2016. They have been living together for the last two years. Presently, she has no grievance against the petitioner. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR No.

127/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
