O R D E R

% 27.11.2017 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to establish social ties and since he is the sole bread earner of his family comprising of his mother, wife, two minor daughters aged 6 and 7 years, his support to the family is essential.

A status report has been filed by the State stating that after the trial, the petitioner has been convicted and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for a period of 14 years. Though the residential address of Vedpal, the petitioner has been revealed, however it has also been revealed that there are 5 other cases against the petitioner. Out of the 5 cases besides the one in which the petitioner has been convicted he has either been acquitted or W.P.(CRL) 1253/2017

discharged or they have ended in a compromise in 4 cases, except FIR No.144/2004. Further even after the involvement of the petitioner as per the nominal roll the petitioner was granted parole by this Court with effect from 21st December, 2015 and has also been granted furlough. There is no allegation that the petitioner misused the concession of parole or furlough granted to him.

Consequently, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner for a period of four weeks on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court/ learned CMM.

Petition is disposed of.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent Tihar Jail.
